Red Shift Cams® Performance Cams for 1991-up Sportster® and Buell XB® Engines
These engines have on-center tappets (tappet centerline in line with cam shaft centerline) Most of our 5-speed XL® Sportster® cams require some clearance work to swing clearly in the engine case. This can be accomplished with our cam clearance tool (#713-908) for a very professional result. 2000 and later models require more extensive clearance of the case and pinion bearing race. Most models will also require rocker box clearance for the rocker arms on the pushrod side at full lift. Must be used with adjustable pushrods.

For Cams Purchased On New Cores: 2000 and later engines will require the purchase of 1991-1999 pinion drive gear.

Rip your arms off; maybe.
Shoulders, confirmed. Ripped my shoulder blade permanently before setting up proper seating position (sit IN the bike NOT ON IT) on my 106ci pump gas bike.
This bike rips harder than any bike I have ridden. Aggressive torque and horsepower is an understatement. Feels like I’m warping into a different dimension when the power hits. 😎
Highly recommended
A little rowdy for a street engine. The bike has quite aggressive low speed manners; it does not “cruise” S&S Super G.
